About MTS
Media Technology Services provides numerous services to the University of New Mexico and beyond. UNM has acquired an impressive array of technologies and human resources that are used to support main campus instructional technology, distance education technology and television production.

Distance Education/Interactive Television (ITV)
MTS Provides remote access for distance education student in programs such as Engineering, Education, Public Administration, Management, Native American Studies and Arts and Sciences. Main campus courses are broadcast using videoconferencing, satellite and microwave technologies. For the current schedule of ITV Classes go to Extended University ITV Courses.

Academic Technology Services (ATS/AV)
MTS provides classroom instructional technologies and audio-visual equipment in support of UNM main campus courses. Additionally, equipment rental is available for non-class related activities and events. An array of equipment is available including laptop computers, video projectors, PA systems, microphones, DVD players, etc.

Engineering Services and Smart Classrooms
MTS designs, installs and maintains ITV classrooms and smart classroom on main campus. Additionally, the Engineering Services Department offers a variety of services to students and staff at UNM.

Television Production
MTS maintains a full Television production studio. We are capable of conducting studio video/audio recording, field video/audio recording, and analog/ digital video editing. For a fee MTS can help departments or individuals design, film and produce informational, training and/or marketing videos.

Academic Videoconferencing Services
MTS has an Internet Protocol (IP) Videoconferencing facility which provides two-way audio and video interactions between multiple locations. In addition to videoconferencing distance education courses MTS can for a fee conduct videoconferences for faculty, students and staff.

Video on Demand and Live Webcasting
Video on demand (VOD) allow students to select and watch distance education courses live or as on demand over internet. In addition, MTS provides live webcast of events. These events are streamed live and are viewable over the internet.

Satellite Downlink and Uplink
For a fee MTS provides C and KU band satellite uplink and downlink for faculty, students and staff.
