For the convenience of UNM's Distance Education Students, we are providing Video-on-Demand. Your Professor will
inform you if the class you are attending is available on VOD and give you the required login username and password.
Use the links at the bottom of the
page to download Windows Media Player or Microsoft Internet Explorer.
If you have Windows XP and Windows Media Player version 10 or below just click play to view the class on the VOD. If you have Windows Vista and Windows Media Player Version 11 you must download VOD classes as opposed to streaming. Right click on the class and click on 'Download' and save the file on a known location on your computer. This will take about 5 minutes for a 2 hour class on a high speed connection (longer at lower speeds).Then left click on the saved file and view the class in Window Media Player. Download will be available half an hour after the class ends. Instructions for the use of the VOD:
The VOD system can be viewed on your PC with Realplayer 10 or Windows Media Player. The VOD uses MIcrosoft Internet Explorer as a browser. You must upgrade to MIE Version 7 if you want to use Realplayer 10 to view VOD classes. The following instructions are for watching the VOD classes using Realplayer 10: Use the links at the bottom of the page to download Realplayer 10,Windows Media Player 10 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 7. To setup your PC to watch VOD classes with Realplayer 10. 1. Open Windows Media PLayer and right-click on the menu bar. 2. Click on Tools>Options>Filetypes. 3. Uncheck the box in front of 'Windows Media File(asf)'. 4. Click 'OK' and exit Windows Media Player. Next: 1. Open Realplayer 10 and maximize the window. 2. Click on Tools>Preferences>Content>Media Type. 3. Check 'Manually configure media types for Realplayer 10' and click 'Select'. 4. Scroll down to 'Windows Media' section. 5. Check the box for 'Windows Media(TM) Audio File (asx asf)> and click 'OK'. For more information please call 505-277-9009
